Death traps, hitch hiking and more tim tams

Headed off to the north of Auckland today, to the bay of islands. Weather was quite bad for activities today, such as parasailing, skydiving etc. So went for a long walk and saw this lovely statue.

With a wooden bellend.

don't ask me what this is doing on here.

Carried on to our hanuku walk to the waterfall and came across some good scenery.

While doing a moawi pose.

Also saw a wooden walkway were either side were some muddy roots.

It looked like a death trap!

Fearless Adrian climbed the tree and gave his best king kong impression.

After the death trap we finally came to the waterfall. Complete with rainbow.

Isn't it pretty.

Had to walk back from our hike it was a 2.5 mile walk. So I said for a joke let's hitch hike.

10 minutes later without any indication of wanting a lift. A range rover pulled over. Lol

Checked the driver out it was a middle aged women going to the supermarket. not a mass murderer wanting blood.

So jumped in.

Got some more Tim tams I swear I'm addicted to these things.

These are like penguin bars but better and this is the best one so far

Dark choc and raisins.

Went to the bar for a few drinks to end the night.

we will see what tomorrow brings, more death traps, hitch hiking and tim tams?

2 days left in the big white cloud we will see.

Lord of rings tour last night in Wellington

Started the tour in Mt Victoria. This is where they first started shooting Lord of the rings "fellowship of the ring", in secret before a fire broke out and the fire chief was about to halt all shooting, before Peter Jackson gave him a private tour with the actors who played the hobbits.

Here are a few shots.

Adrian as the hobbit

Shot in the movie

Tour guide said a company called 3.7" are looking for people of a height 5.6" and who are well fed to play hobbits in future movies.

Think I could get a part?

Adrian could play an elf?

Headed off to havencourt park to see where another scene was shot.

It's a kids park and picnic area! With my favourite game.

Frisbee golf!

had some muffins and tea then headed back to our luxury hostel.

sat in the bar eating my super sized £1 meal and the barman shouts out "FREE TICKETS FOR BASKETBALL GAME! TONIGHT! TIP OFF AT 7PM"

Guess who nabbed the tickets?

Game started in 20 minutes, so legged it to the TSB arena where the game was.

I have never been to a basketball game in my life!

Go team HAWKS!

Good seats.

Last 3.2 seconds of the game the HAWKS won! By 1 point!

golf frisbee teapots of cocktails and jumping off a cliff!

so I finally arrived in queenstown. The town full of extreme sports and bars which is also the last stop for most people on the kiwi bus!

The first day me and adrian played "some disc golf". 18 holes of frisbee flying madness.

Warming up

And ready...

After 18 holes I lost! It was difficult to play since we had crap frisbees and it was windy!

after a day of frisbee throwing we headed that night to the "world bar" where all of the kiwi experience people go for drinks.

They had some cocktails in a teapot I can't remember what was in them exactly but they were bloody nice!

So after a good night out the next day was the day of the Nevis arc Swing the highest swing in the world apparently!

Click the video below to watch.

Sorry Mum.

I still felt a bit hungover and sick from the teapots and my breakfast and doing the swing upside down was not a good idea!

but I done it! Witness the tacky hat and certificate as proof!
